This is an Administrative Assistant Position for a Cabinetry Company in Roanoke, Virginia. It is an Excellent long-term opportunity with a 55-year-old established company.

Job description

We are seeking a professional, highly organized person to be an Administrative Assistant. This important role helps create and maintain an organized work environment and assists with communication and overall effectiveness.

The Administrative Assistant’s duties are primarily the following:

· 

Assist with answering the phones

Provide support for walk in customers in the showroom

Sending & Receiving Mail and Packages

Order Supplies and Keep Supplies Organized

Assist with Showroom Organization

Post Vendor Invoices in QuickBooks

Prepare weekly Check Reports

Vendor Insurance Updates

Post Credit Card Charges into QuickBooks

Post Sales Orders into QuickBooks

Take Credit Card payments & Receive Checks

Assist with billing customers

Assist Salespeople as needed


Job requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Strong work ethic and able to work well independently

  • Microsoft Office Proficiency-Outlook, Excel, and Word

  • Excellent Organizational & Communication Skills

  • QuickBooks Experience is a plus, but will train the right person

  • Customer Service Skills— Ability to demonstrate basic cabinetry and countertop products to walk-in customers. Training is provided.

This job is an Administrative Tier 2 position, with a pay range of $19 -$24 per hour.  It has a full benefits package, including 100% paid employee only health insurance (base plan), company paid life insurance (after six months) 401k with a match, and options for employee paid dental, AFLAC and more. *
